Equipped with a MERV RATING of 7 and a large surface area, it is specifically designed with pleated media to filter airborne particles, such as dust, dirt and pollen. It is 28x more effective than its fiberglass counterparts. The double-wall frame construction prevents warping, while the pleated filter material significantly increases the surface area on which airborne particles can be trapped. It features a heavy-duty "wet" strength frame that promotes superior performance, even in humid conditions. The pleated filter material will also achieve higher MERV ratings than fiberglass filters. This 100% synthetic filter media will not support the growth of bacteria, mold or fungi in normal use.
