LEVITON 20 AMP 125VOLT 3-WIRE PLUG-YELLOW. I got this plug to replace a 15 amp plug I had at the time for my older Radial Arm Saw. Had to replace the cord because it was dry rotting. So I finally got around to getting this 20 amp plug. Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to replace it yet. I barely get a chance to check email and input my review. The plug is very well made and expect it to give me years of service.

The Leviton 20 Amp plug is rugged and well made. It is easy to assemble. The wires are easy to install in the the back of the plug and are easily secured by the screws that clamp down on the wires. The collar on the back of the plug secures the cord tightly and in the center, making for a clean looking installation. Remember, this is a 20 amp plug, so the configuration of the prongs will only allow the plug to be plugged into a 20 amp outlet. The cord connecting to the plug should be 12 gauge stranded wire.

This LEVITON 20 AMP 125V 3-PRONG REPLACEMENT PLUG is fantastic - it is well made - has the rating marked on the plug to avoid confusion - is hinged to make working with it easier and simpler - now if you need to do so you can easily replace those old worn out or defective plugs with this LEVITON PLUG - would I recoomend this plug? - in a heartbeat!

Leviton 20 amp 125 volt 3 wire plug: These are my favorite replacement plugs for repairing / upgrading extension cords. I used this one to repair a cord that had lost its ground. This is the easiest plug to wire. Simply cut the old plug off and slip the main part of the plug on the wire, and then pull about a foot of the cord through; it's easier to strip the end of the cord and then pull it back to length then to try and push the stripped wires through the plug's opening. Size the length by the plug. the section that the plug locks must have the sheath intact. After that the sheath is removed and the tips of the wires are stripped just enough to fit in the terminals. Pull the cord back and secure the sheath in the base of the plug and then screw in the prong plate and it's ready to go. I always like to check to make sure the leads aren't shorted before I use the cord. I like it. This one is for 20 amp 125 volt circuits.
