Very difficult to install

It took me over an hour to install the lamp arm to the back plate. I recommend they send the product with that already installed. When I turned the lamp on, the bulb they sent with it blew out within a few minutes. When I replaced it the rubber grommet under the glass came off and I had to scotch tape it in order to re-install the glass.

I only recommend this product to those who can mount it exactly like the picture shows. The lamp must be straight up and down not tilted in any way or the bulb will burn out with-in a few days. The constant changing of bulbs for this light fixture makes it one that should also be mounted with-in reach of the ground. Other than that it's a nice light and bulbs are very inexpensive.

I am unable to rate this security light. However, I have two other halogen security lights and I am happy with those. The halogen lights have lasted years, but they are controlled with my light switch in the house. I will be returning the Heath Zenith security light I recently purchased because my electrician felt because the light stays on, the halogen bulb would need to be replaced more often and an LED might be more appropriate for the high location I intended to place it. I bought this Halogen Motion Light for the features it describes. Again, I have had No problems with my 30 year old halogen security lights.

The motion sensor and the change from dim to bright light work very well in my yard. I have it mounted in a place that does not receive direct rain. I do not have any experience with its ability to resist weather.
