Many engine performance problems can be linked to maintenance issues such as stale fuel, dirty air filter, fouled spark plug, and deteriorated oil. A great way to help avoid these problems would be to perform an annual tune-up. Changing the oil and oil filter in your outdoor power equipment regularly is crucial to keeping it running smoothly. Replace oil filter yearly or every 100 hours, whichever occurs first. Before installing new filter, lightly oil filter gasket with fresh clean oil. Screw filter on by hand until gasket contacts filter adapter. Tighten 1/2 to 3/4 turn farther. Always dispose of used oil at an oil recycling center.
