Item Description

PT14 ProMask Blue Painter's Tape is designed for superior paint lines, conformability, tear strength, and cleam removal. Excellent for cornering and conformability. It is resistant to humidity and paint bleed through. 14 day UV resistance for clean removal. It is made of a fine, crepe paper with a natural rubber adhesive allowing tape to be used for draping. It can be used with wood floor applications, trim, cured painted walls, woodworking, and glass.

ProMask blue tape gave my did-it-herself paint job the professional looking straight, clean lines to the windows and trim. Easy to apply and remove. The tape adhered to the siding well and remained in place for over two weeks. It even stayed put with a night of light to moderate rain and days of high humidity. Unexpectedly, the blue tape came in remarkably useful in protecting my cast from getting wet in the bath. It is hypoallergenic with no pain upon removal from the skin.

I think the proof of a good taping job is not only the product but also the taper. If you don't apply it well/correctly, the quality of the tape doesn't matter. I've been told by many people that I am a good taper and I think this tape is pretty decent. It came off the roll fine. It didn't overstick to the walls/ceiling or the baseboard but then again, I didn't leave it on for more than 48 hours and no paint ran behind it. The tape tore well and stayed on where I placed it. So overall, it performed well. Think it goes to show you don't always have to go with the big name brand to get a quality product.
