The Recessed Dryer Vent Box allows the dryer to be pushed up against the wall of the laundry room instead of having to be positioned 5 in. to 6 in. away in order to accommodate the dryer duct. The box also completely protects the duct from being crushed. When using this product lint build-up is minimized due to the limited kinks and bends.

The box fit in between the studs and the snap-in hangers worked fine, allowing you to adjust setting to match depth of drywall. I liked the secure way the hose adapter snaps into the box, so you can remove the hose and replace it easily when you have to move the dryer. The box is plastic, so you have to accept that it's not as rigid as metal. You can paint the trim ring and the box to match wall color, if you want.

Cheap, flimsy plastic. Would not recommend this at all. Cracked 2 of the components while installing. Parts that should snap together don't snap well at all. The dryer vent hose fits so loosely into the adapter I'm going to have to ask if there isn't some other type of hose. One black mark against Home Depot! I recommend letters of apology to everyone who has purchased one of these. A refund wouldn't help much since I cut a huge hole in the wall to mount it.

This is a great idea, but the construction is too flimsy and breakable to be considered satisfactory. Unfortunately, I could find no superior alternative. I ended up supporting it in several additional ways to increase the probability of respectable long-term performance.

THIS BOX IS CHEAPLY MADE IT ISN'T WORTH THE PRICE. IT SHOULD BE ABOUT $5 NOT $30. THE CLIPS BROKE OFF BEFORE I COULD GET IT INSTALLED. IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO GET THE PIPE ONTO THE OVEL FITTING. ITS VERY HARD TO GET IT INTO THE HOLE IN THE WALL. IT IS FLIMSEY. I HAD TO JUST ADD 2X4S AND USE DRY WALL SCREWS INTO THE SIDES TO HOLD IT IN. THE COMPANY SHOULD HIRE AN ENGINEER TO FIX THIS POOR PRODUCT. I WISH I COULD GIVE THIS A NEGATIVE SCORE.
